The "dream-road of Eastern Alps" belongs to the repertoire of every mountain cyclist. Highest peak is Edelweißspitze diverting from the parking site at Fuscher Törl. From there six switchbacks consisting of cobblestones shake the cyclist after previous 10% grade ramp from tollgate Ferleiten has not been very diversified. However, the giant panorama provides amazing views to Austrias highest mountain - Großglockner!

At first glance a somewhat boring profile. But cyclists willing to ride rhythmically will appreciate the course.

View from Edelweißspitze to Fuscher Törl
Participation in the Glocknerkönig in the year 2005 shows that weather conditions can be significantly worse. More than 2,000 participants start jointly in the village of Bruck and get rewarded at Fuscher Törl after an altitude difference of some 1,700m with a medal and Austrian Kaiserschmarrn.
