You must have seen Europe's "Queen of passroads": Amazing 48 switchbacks on north-eastern ramp from Prad with glaciated Ortler mountain on one's back. Beginning in a forest-like environment it becomes more interesting at the village of Trafoi. From Hotel Franzenshöhe at a height of 2,200m it even becomes a real high-alpin spectacle! Specified tour: Participation in Stelviobike with more than 6,000 amateur cyclists. Downhill ride via Swiss Umbrailpass on north-western ramp (partly not paved, but rideable with a road bike). Stilfser Joch forms also essential part of the popular cycling marathon Dreiländergiro.
